Jerome Goldstein, M.D. is a Board-certified medical neurologist who has a special interest in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and cure of headache. He has been directing the San Francisco Clinical Research Center for more than forty years.
A graduate from the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, Dr. Goldstein completed his Neurology residency at the University of California in San Francisco in 1970.
Dr. Goldstein has directed research studies on every new 5-HT 1D receptor agonists, including the original pilot studies done on Imitrex® in the United States. He also has conducted clinical trials on all new prophylactic agents in headache.
Abnormalities of the crucial areas of the nervous system may cause neurological complications. Dr. Jerome Goldstein addresses these conditions by conducting tests, scans and determining a diagnosis. The diagnosis is needed to come up with a treatment plan, which may involve medication management, targeted therapies, lifestyle changes, or other options.
