Dr. Kurz specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common and important digestive conditions including colon cancer and polyp screening, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, anorectal disorders and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) such as Chron’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. He is skilled in the full management of heartburn, peptic ulcers, pancreatitis, hepatitis and other liver and gallbladder disorders. He performs gastrointestinal procedures and interventions including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoid ligation, endoscopic cholangiopancreatography, and capsule endoscopy. He has authored multiple abstracts that have been presented at national meetings and has been on the faculty at a teaching hospital in NYC where he lectured, supervised, and taught medical students, residents and gastroenterology trainees.
