Dr. Jason Butler has been practicing Pain Management in DFW since 2010. He completed medical school at The George Washington University in Washington DC, and his residency and fellowship training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine, and has additional training in Interventional Pain Medicine. He treats a variety of conditions from head to toe, including acute injuries and chronic pain conditions, as well as injuries related to auto accidents and workers compensation. He focuses on maximizing all conservative options through multi-disciplinary treatments before recommending any interventions, and his goal is to help patients maximize their potential function with focus on improving quality of life.
Pain management doctors specialize in caring for patients who are dealing with chronic pain, whether resulting from injury, disease, or otherwise. Dr. Butler creates customized pain management plans for patients that may include therapy, medication management, or minimally invasive procedures. When creating a customized pain management plan, Dr. Butler will evaluate the patient and their medical history, in addition to performing tests to arrive at a precise diagnosis.
Sports medicine physicians are trained to provide treatment and prevention plans for those participating in sports and related physical activities. Dr. Butler is trained to treat complications such as muscle tears and strains, concussions, tendon and ligament damage, shin splints, sports hernias, fractures, and a variety of others. Treatments may include rehabilitation services, therapies and a variety of surgical operations, among others.
