Dr. Jared Brummel is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine, Total Joint Replacement, and Arthroscopy. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Brummel is focused on the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of injuries, disorders and diseases of the body’s musculoskeletal system. The musculoskeletal system includes bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves and tendons.
Dr. Brummel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from California State University, Fullerton in 1999. He then attended San Diego State seeking a Masters of Public Health (MPH) in 2002. He continued to earn his Osteopathic medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Erie, PA) in 2007.
At Riverside County Regional Medical Center, Dr. Brummel served his traditional rotating internship in 2008, followed by his Orthopedic Surgery Residency in 2012. He then went on to complete his Sports Medicine/Arthroscopy Fellowship at the renowned Hughston Clinic (Columbus, GA) in 2013. Prior to returning to Southern California and joining Graybill Medical Group in 2017, he was the Director of Orthopaedics at Wellstar’s West Georgia Hospital as well as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hughston Clinic.

Dr. Brummel has enjoyed caring for athletes of all types and at all levels from high school and college to the professional level. He has also enjoyed caring for the everyday athlete making it through life. Even though Dr. Brummel is a surgeon, he believes strongly, that whenever possible, nonsurgical treatment should be discussed with patients as an option. His focus is to provide excellent medical care with a friendly and compassionate approach. Dr. Brummel is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics (AOAO), American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).
In his free time, Dr. Brummel enjoys traveling, participating in and attending sporting events, and spending time with his family including two young children and two dogs.
