Internal Medicine

The specialty of internal medicine is an area of primary care for adults. Dr. Thomsen specializes in diagnosing and treating cross-system illnesses that may affect multiple organ systems. When necessary, Dr. Thomsen also can refer patients to specialists. For example, patients with serious gastrointestinal issues may be referred to a gastroenterologist for additional diagnostic tests or treatment options.
