Dr. Jim is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at New York University Medical Center’s Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine and then served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in both the Departments of Physical Medicine at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and Baylor College of Medicine.
He hosted several radio and television shows promoting health and wellness. Dr. Weiss has extensive experience diagnosing and treating spinal and musculoskeletal disorders. He collaborates with his patient's to determine the best possible options for their care. His non-surgical approach includes physical therapy, nutritional management, all spinal levels epidural steroid injections, facet injections and stem cell injections and alternative approaches.
He also performs advanced diagnostics including lumbar discograms and EMGs. He has a special interest in a holistic approach to the treatment and management of spinal and musculoskeletal disorders. He is affiliated with Innovations Medical clinic in Dallas where he performs stem cell deployments into the spine and peripheral joints for spinal, arthritic and neurodegenerative disorders.
