Dr. James Bynum is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who practices general orthopedics with an emphasis on sports medicine and joint preservation. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. He then completed a sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship in Plano, TX. He has authored numerous peer reviewed articles as well as instructed fellow orthopedic surgeons on advanced arthroscopic techniques. He has provided orthopedic coverage for professional, collegiate, and high school athletic teams as well as many local sports clubs in Lee and Collier counties. Dr. Bynum, his wife, Veronica, and their Labrador, Rosco, have called Fort Myers home for the last 4 years.
