Jaime S. Schwartz MD is Board Certified in plastic surgery and a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Schwartz earned a bachelor degree in cellular and molecular biology from Tulane University, and went on to attend Georgetown University School of Medicine, the 5th most selective medical school in the US. While pursuing his medical degree, he furthered his expertise in breast cancer care by studying tumor biology and the molecular basis of cancer at the Lombardi Cancer Center, designated by the National Cancer Institute.
Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Schwartz was accepted into the prestigious integrated plastic surgery training program at Georgetown University Hospital after scoring in the top 3% in the United States on the medical licensing examination. The Department of Plastic Surgery is internationally recognized for expertise in breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery under the leadership of Dr. Scott Spear (past president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and editor of the breast section of the Plastic and Reconstructive Journal) and Dr. Maurice Nahabedian (current editor of the breast section of the Plastic and Reconstructive Journal).
