Dr. Goldsmith grew up in Augusta, Georgia and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Georgia where he graduated with Honors in 2003. His Bachelors of Science degree was composed of biology, exercise science, and pharmacology. He received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2008 and went on to residency in the Internal Medicine - Pediatrics program with Greenville Hospital System. Drew currently serves as chief resident and is eager to start with Heritage Pediatrics and Internal Medicine in Wren. Drew is married to his wife, Michelle, and they have two young boys with a third child on the way. Drew is especially interested in newborn care, preventive medicine, adolescence, and medical missions. He has served communities in Ghana, Haiti, Mexico, and Trinidad. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family and his church. Drew is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, and Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA).
Dr. Goldsmith is trained as a primary care specialist, practicing both internal medicine and pediatrics. This combined specialty is sometimes shortened to "Med Peds". Dr. Goldsmith provides ongoing and comprehensive medical care for those of all ages by drawing upon training in both medical specialties. He provides care in a family context, drawing upon knowledge from both fields to provide a uniquely comprehensive spectrum of care.
