Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, M.D., F.A.C.C., is an experienced cardiologist, skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of an array of heart-related diseases and conditions in patients from Park Slope and throughout Brooklyn, NY. At Park Slope Cardiac and Diagnostic, Dr. Ahmad offers patient-centered care for issues like congestive heart failure (CHF), coronary artery disease (CAD), peripheral vascular disease (PVD and PAD) and chest pain. With advanced training in cardiac diagnostic imaging, Dr. Ahmad is skilled in performing echocardiograms, nuclear stress testing and ultrasounds, as well as cardiac catheterization and other minimally-invasive procedures.

Widely published in top medical journals, including the International Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases and the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Ahmad was awarded the New York’s Top Doctors Award in 2016. Certified in nuclear cardiology by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) and echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE), Dr. Ahmad maintains active memberships in several professional societies, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
