Medical Background

Dr. Davis is a graduate of The University of the South in Sewanee, TN and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his general surgery training at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD and was certified by the American Board of Surgery. His plastic surgery residency was at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA. He has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1986.

Dr. Davis served as Assistant Chief of Plastic Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center before entering private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has led several overseas medical missions with Operation Smile and has been a leader in both local and national medical societies serving as President of the Raleigh Academy of Medicine, the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Council of State Plastic Surgery Societies.

Awards & Accomplishments

An esteemed North Carolina plastic surgeon, Dr. Davis holds appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has chaired several committees of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, serving on the Board of Directors and as an Officer of the Society. He has been recognized by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with the Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery, and by Who’s Who in Medicine. He is also been listed in the exclusive “Best Doctors in America” for 15 consecutive years, placing him in the top 3% of plastic surgeons in the country.

Hobbies & Outside Activities

When not seeing patients and performing cosmetic surgery procedures, Dr. Davis enjoys a variety of hobbies, with fly fishing as his personal favorite. He also uses his skills as a craftsman to help build and paint homes for the underprivileged. He remains dedicated to giving back to local communities in a wide variety of ways.
