Bio


Dr Bejjani is a Neurosurgeon with over 18 years of professional expertise, dealing with various simple and complex neurosurgical issues.

A passion for helping others led him down his neurosurgical career that allowed to provide his patients with high quality care.

​Dr. Bejjani earned his medical degree at St. Joseph University School of Medicine, Beirut, Lebanon. After a one year surgical internship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, he completed his neurosurgical residency at George Washington University, Washington, DC, where he was also chief neurosurgical resident. Dr. Bejjani has completed additional training in France, Germany, and England. He was awarded the CNS clinical Fellowship Award that he used to acquire additional training in minimally invasive techniques in Mainz, Germany, as well as at Yale on the Cerebrovascular and Critical Care service with Dr Awad. He also spent some time furthering his microsurgical experience with Professor Yazargil in Little Rock Arkansas. 

Dr Bejjani has over 80 publications in the forms of articles and book chapters and is editing two books. He has more than 80 presentations in national meetings, and has helped organize more than a dozen regional, national and international meetings.

He is also Past President of the World Association of Lebanese Neurosurgeons, and served on various committees of national Neurosurgical Associations like the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Besides his interest in General Neurosurgical Diseases like simple and complex spine pathology, neuro-trauma and peripheral nerve diseases, Dr. Bejjani specializes in the treatment of brain and spine tumors, including cranial base tumors, meningiomas, gliomas, pituitary tumors, and acoustic neuromas, using conventional surgical techniques, specialized cranial base approaches and Stereotactic Radiosurgery. He also has a major interest in CSF dynamics pathologies like the Chiari Malformation, Syringomyelia, Pseudotumor Cerebri and Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.
