Dr. George Zambetti, Jr. specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Zambetti has been practicing since 1981 in New York and has served as Fordham Universitys Athletic Team Physician since that time. Dr. Zambetti graduated from Fordham University in 1972 with a degree in Biology. He earned his MD degree in 1976 from Albany Medical College. Dr. Zambetti successfully completed his orthopedic surgery residency in 1981 at Presbyterian Medical Center (Columbia) in New York.Dr. Zambetti is a member of the New York State Medical Society, the State Orthopaedic Society, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Medical Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Some of Dr. Zambettis many accomplishments include being inducted into the Catholic High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame and also the Fordham University Athletic Hall of Fame. The Medical Society of the State of New York presented Dr. Zambetti with the Sports Medicine Team Physician of the Year Award in 1994. Outside of work, Dr. Zambetti enjoys exercising, playing golf and spending time with his family.
