I was referred to Prairie Cardiovascular by my PCP for complaints of chest pain and other symptoms that concerned me. I found Dr, Matos to be very warm and thoughtful. He took time to explain results of tests and made sure I understood the disease process. I was diagnosed with CAD and he reviewed lab results and started me on a statin medication, again, explaining the need for this medication. His office staff set me up with follow up labs and appointment. I believe what I want you to know most of all about Dr. Matos (from my experience) is this, cardiac concerns are frightening, he put me at ease and sincerely took his time to explain to me what was going on with my body and what our plan to help me improve my overall health was going to be.
