Allen Richburg, MD, MS, FAAFP joined San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center following the completion of its Sports Medicine Fellowship Program in 1998. After graduating from Loma Linda University Medical School, he completed his residency at Santa Monica UCLA Hospital. Dr. Richburg is board certified in family medicine with added qualifications in sports medicine. He is the Medical Director and Head Team Physician at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. He is also the Director of Athletic Medicine for the San Diego State University Aztecs. He is the Clinical Director of the SDSM Peak Performance Program, Skin Wellness Program, and the Sorrento Valley office. Dr. Richburg's other clinical interests include cycling medicine and mixed martial arts.
