In 1999 I completed my psychiatry residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York. Shortly after residency, I moved to Mississippi  where I worked for 5 years with children and adolescents in residential units and inpatient settings. After I moved to Alabama, I continued to work with children on residential,  inpatient and outpatient settings. I also worked on the geriatric and adult units at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center for approximately two years.  I have done consultations on the medical-surgical units and emergency rooms at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, Providence Hospital, Springhill Hospital, USA Children's and Women's Hospital and University of South Alabama Hospital.

My forays into academia include an appointment at USA College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry lecturing to residents and medical students and supervising  residents  in their clinical rotations.  I worked on the forensic/involuntary units at Bay Pointe Hospital and East Pointe Hospital and testified numerous times at Mobile County Probate Court on matters regarding inpatient and outpatient commitments. I have worked in adult outpatient settings including Gordon Smith Center and Ziegler Outpatient Clinic. I am also fluent in German and Romanian.
