Dr. Thorn graduated from medical school from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2001. He trained in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 2001 - 2004. He then returned to the University of Maryland for his cardiology training. He is board certified in cardiology, internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, and obesity medicine. In the Spring of 2012, he founded the Center for Cardio-metabolic Health and Weight Loss, an intensive, medically supervised program of nutritional rehabilitation.
