My son had rash all over his body, we were sure that it's Lyme disease. He had a bull eyed spot around his ear few days before it and we brought pics of it with us. The doctor reassured us that it's probably just a virus, and that "rash from virus can look impressive too'. We went home without any antibiotic prescribed, and few days later blood test has shown Lyme. We were loosing precious time, baby was with 104.4F fever and we are lucky that it didn't end up with heart problems or arthritis. Our copay after insurance was more than 700 dollars with wrong diagnosis.
