Edwin K. Chan, MD is board certified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery and an Attending Surgeon at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Dr. Chan received his undergraduate degree at Duke University where he graduated magna cum laude and obtained his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where he graduated with Special Distinction for Research in Otolaryngology.

He completed a General Surgery internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and residency in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary where he was awarded the J. Swift Hanley Award for Excellence in Resident Research, the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary Chief Resident Teaching Award, and the Austen T. Gray Memorial Scholarship for Overall Excellence during Residency Training.

He provides general otolaryngology care for disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and head & neck, with a special focus on treating sinus disorders using the most current treatment and surgical modalities including in office balloon sinus dilation (balloon sinuplasty).  Dr. Chan has given lectures and headed a course on in office balloon sinus dilation.  He currently runs a training program for other practicing surgeons on how to perform balloon sinus dilation in the office.  He is one of the first and few sinus surgeons in the country to use computer image guidance sinus navigation for his in office sinus procedures in order to produce safer, more effective, and accurate results, all in the convenient and comfortable setting of the office environment.
