Dr. Nguyen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston in Biochemistry and Biophysics in 2003. His medical degree was awarded in 2007 from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at University Hospitals, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio followed by a fellowship training at the Division of Allergy and Immunology, Pediatrics at All Children’s Hospital, University of South Florida in Saint Petersburg, Florida. His research during training focused on subcutaneous immunoglobulin replacement in primary humoral immunodeficiency patients and patients with eczema. During training he helped set up a specialized Atopic Dermatitis Clinic where a comprehensive and standardized approach to treat eczema was established.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys taking care of both children and adults with asthma, chronic sinusitis, chronic cough, urticaria and various allergic diseases such as food allergy, hay fever, and insect and drug allergies. He especially enjoys treating patients with severe eczema and primary immunodeficiency to help improve their quality of life.
As an allergist / immunologist in Houston, Dr. Doanh Nguyen offers specialized care for allergic reactions and immunological disorders in patients of all ages. Dr. Nguyen may treat and manage conditions like asthma, hives, and a range of allergic reactions like environmental or food allergies. He may also treat rhinitis & sinusitis, as well as other disorders that affect the body's immune system.
