Dr. Wilcoxson attended medical school at the University of Colorado.  He graduated in 1987.

Dr. Wilcoxson had his internal medicine internship and residency at Maricopa County Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

His Cardiology Fellowship was performed at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Wilcoxson performed research during his Fellowship, using an American Heart Association grant in evaluating cardiopulmonary resuscitation with, and without ventilation, and was published in an emergency medical Journal.

Dr. Wilcoxson has been in private practice since 1994.

He is an interventional cardiologist, involved in coronary stenting procedures and treatment of acute coronary syndrome.

Dr. Wilcoxson also has expertise in treating congestive heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias, Varicose vein and spider vein treatment

Procedures performed by Dr. Wilcoxson include:coronary artery interventions including angioplasty, and stenting procedures.  Other procedures include echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, stress echocardiogram, transesophageal echocardiogram, monitor insertion procedures, cardiac rhythm monitoring including Holter monitors and event monitors and their evaluation, evaluation of pacemaker and defibrillator functions, venous ablation procedures, including radiofrequency ablation, Clari-vein ablation, and chemical ablation of superficial veins, varicose veins, and spider veins.
