Dr. David Ruch graduated from Wake Forest Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1988 before completing a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Bowman Gray/Baptist Medical Center (North Carolina) from 1988 to 1993. He then completed a fellowship in Hand, Microvascular, and Upper Extremity Surgery at Duke University Medical Center from 1993 to 1994.
