Unlike other area vein care providers, Dr. Engleman has extensive training and board certifications in multiple specialty areas including vascular intervention, cardiology, nuclear cardiology, interventional cardiology and electrocardiography, making him exceptionally qualified to provide the best and safest levels of care for all patients. He has extensive experience in laser applications in vascular treatment and is currently a Fellow of the American College of Cardiologists (FACC).
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Akron in just two years, Dr. Engleman graduated from the N.E. Ohio University College of Medicine with honors. Following completion of his training and board certification in internal medicine in 1993, Dr. Engleman trained in cardiology and interventional at the internationally renowned Texas Heart Institute in Houston, where he also served as the Chief Interventional Fellow, completing his training in 1996.
With more than a decade of clinical practice in both cardiology and vascular disease, Dr. Engleman continues to advance his knowledge, understanding and skills in his areas of expertise to ensure the care he provides represents the best and highest standards and quality of care available.
When not helping patients lead healthier, more comfortable lives, Dr. Engleman enjoys spending time with his wife and his three children, Houston, Avery and Reagan.
Dr. Engleman, a cardiologist in Sherman, is trained to provide comprehensive care for your heart and cardiovascular system. Dr. Engleman may see patients for indicators like shortness of breath, chest pains or dizziness, to name a few. Heart conditions that may be diagnosed and cared for by a cardiologist may include congenital heart defects, angina, arrhythmia, heart failure, rheumatic heart disease, heart aneurysms and coronary artery disease, among others.
Vascular surgeons are trained to evaluate and treat complications and diseases of the circulatory system including arteries, veins, and blood vessels. Dr. Engleman may offer a range of surgical and non-surgical treatments, including the removal of plaque from arteries, treatment of varicose veins, and surgery to prevent aneurysms, heart attacks or coronary artery disease, among others.
As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Engleman provides minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment services for conditions affecting the heart and cardiovascular system. This may include the diagnosis and treatment of enlarged heart muscles and vascular blockages, chronic or unstable angina, and congestive heart failure. In providing care, Dr. Engleman may utilize minimally-invasive catheterizations, offering easier access the heart and vascular system.
