I had a freak accident and saw Dr. Mattern after the Urgent Care doctor ordered x-rays and knew I needed surgery. From our introductory visit to the day of my surgery to my follow-up visit yesterday, Dr. Mattern has been incredibly fantastic - competent, efficient, caring, kind - all the qualities you'd like in your doctor (or any person). He happened to be the on call doctor the weekend between the accident and the surgery. Every call was answered within 3 minutes or less. Post surgery when I needed a hospital bed, he signed the orders so quickly than I had the bed the very next day. He exudes a warmth and caring that is so reassuring; he is a part of the recovery and healing! NOTHING LESS THAN AWESOME!
