Dr. Christopher Davidson, an accomplished, Harvard trained plastic surgeon, is passionate about caring for people and making a positive difference in their lives by improving their health and appearance. A genuinely compassionate and exceptionally skilled doctor, he is admired by both patients and peers. While his technical skills have earned him the respect of other physicians, his many patients deeply appreciate his ability to achieve natural results for them.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, he first ventured east to attend the Phillips Exeter Academy. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors in Biology from Harvard College, he received a Rotary International fellowship to study West African art history – a personal passion – in Ghana before beginning medical school. Upon his return, he attended the Harvard Medical School where he discovered a second, more enthralling passion – plastic surgery.
Dr. Davidson trained in general surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and in plastic surgery in such highly respected programs and hospitals as: the Harvard Plastic Surgery Program, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth-Israel Deaconess Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Boston. Finally, he served as Chief Resident at the Mass General as well as the Brigham and Women’s Hospitals. Dr. Davidson practices at Newton Wellesley Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Massachusetts Medical Society. In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Davidson, who is married and the father of three children, helps train future generations of doctors as an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Plastic surgeons perform a wide variety of surgeries that can restore or correct the form and function of the human body, which can be either cosmetic or reconstructive in nature. Dr. Davidson is able to correct abnormalities of the body that may be causing adverse health effects, or perform surgeries to correct malformations caused by birth defects, trauma, tumors or disease. He also performs elective surgeries, which patients undergo to improve the aesthetic appearance of a certain body part.
