Pediatric Surgery

Pediatric surgeons are to children what general surgeons are to adults, performing a wide range of surgeries on the organs and structures of the abdomen. Because children are still maturing and growing, their surgical needs are much different from that of an adult. Dr. Smithers has been specifically trained to take these and other factors into account when planning for and performing pediatric surgeries.
