Dr. Charles C. Greene is a board certified Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeon. He has benefited from world-class training and has a long track record of excellence and commitment to community service. A high school Magna Cum Laude graduate, he went on to achieve his bachelor of science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) where he was the recipient of numerous awards for academic work. He matriculated into the University of Washington School of Medicine and was admitted into the very competitive Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), where he simultaneously worked on his MD and PhD degrees (In Physiology and Biophysics with an emphasis in Neurophysiology). After graduating from the University of Washington with both an MD and PhD, Dr. Greene received his residency training in General Surgery and in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Greene's combination of scientific thinking and training under the guidance of world-renowned mentors has helped him develop into an outstanding clinician.

Dr. Greene has an extensive history in biomedical research. While enrolled to the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the University of Washington, under the Direction of Dr. Wayne E. Crill, Dr. Greene was one of the first scientists in the world to describe the effects of activating a new class of brain receptors (Metabotropic Glutamate Receptors). His research led to the discovery of a novel hearing loss gene (locus), DFNA-25. Dr. Greene received the Paparella Award for Outstanding Research. Published in the American Journal of Human Genetics, Journal of Neurophysiology as well as the European Journal of Pharmacology, Dr. Greene has been considered a thought leader and continues to give lectures on a variety of topics in ENT. In Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Greene has been the Director for Health Policy Studies at the University of North Florida and has served on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Florida Research Institute.
