I started my practice in Houston in 1968, initiating joint replacement to this country in the form of hip replacement and subsequent knee replacement.
I have been in practice since that time maintaining a significant record with this type of surgery. We have minimized complications using “clean air rooms” and continue this practice to this day. My specialty is total joint reconstruction of the major joints of the body, along with revisions of total joints that may necessitate revising. I have improved the quality of joint replacement and minimized the discomfort that is associated this type of surgery.

I did my residency at Hermann Hospital, University of Texas. Following that I went to Wrightington, England and did a fellowship in joint replacement with John Charnley.
