Brandon K. Suedekum, M.D. is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and completed his Cornea fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. Dr. Suedekum earned his three year residency in Ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed a one year internship in Internal Medicine at Fairview Hospital, and affiliate of the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his Medical Degree ( M.D.) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Suedekum has been involved in research and has completed an externship at the National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health. He has given lectures and presentations at national and international ophthalmology meetings and has published multiple articles in United States ophthalmology journals. He has served as a manuscript reviewer for the journal Cornea.
Dr. Suedekum currently focuses on cataract surgery, offering the most advanced techniques and intraocular lens options. He performs over 2000 surgeries annually but maintains a family-based approach to his practice. The patient experience is as important as his surgical product.
Dr. Suedekum is fluent in Spanish and has performed health-related services in Mexico. He travels extensively with his family and enjoys reading and hiking our national parks. He is an accomplished jazz saxophonist and has performed and taught at several jazz academies in Europe.
