Dr. Bashar Markabawi is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Markabawi specializes in complex coronary interventions. He has a special interest in adult congenital heart disease.
He finished his training at University of Connecticut in 2002. Dr. Markabawi served as Chief of Cardiology at Lake Havasu Regional Medical Center. He moved to Chandler/Gilbert area in 2009 and served as Cardiac Catheterization lab director at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Dr. Markabawi is an active participant in the hospital committees and local community. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three sons. He is an active member of “Planetary Society” and you may find his astrophotographs online.
