Babak Moeinolmolki MD, FACS., graduated with honors from University of California Los Angeles 1n 1995, earning both a bachelor and masters degree in Microbiology and Molecular genetics. Dr. Moeinolmolki then attended medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine and received the Robert Dodeck Scholarship award, in 1999. Once he completed medical school he moved to Maryland and trained at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for his internship. Dr. Moeinolmolki subsequently completed a residency in General Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in 2004.Dr. Moeinolmolki\'s interest in minimally invasive surgery prompted him to complete a Laparoscopic and Bariatrics surgery fellowship at Albert Einstein School of medicine in NYC. Once his fellowship was completed, he spent 8 years as an attending physician at Greater Baltimore Medical Center establishing one of the first centers of excellence in Baltimore Maryland for Bariatric surgery. Escalating need of his patient population for post weight loss body contouring procedures, he completed a fellowship in cosmetic surgery and body contouring. Dr. Moeinolmolki is now one of the few surgeons in the country with knowledge to perform both bariatric surgical procedures along with post bariatric body contouring procedures.
