We went to see Dr. Turtel as a second opinion. After Checking my son's knee, he explained everything to us. He spent almost an hour to check the MRI and to describe my son's situation. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and didn't rush us. He was very prompt with everything. Right after the appointment, he constantly kept in touch with us through texting using his personal phone to keep us posted with all arrangements made for the surgery. Dr. Turtel was available whenever I tried to reach him. After the surgery he texted to make sure that everything was fine with my son. Thank you Dr. Turtel.

About Dr. Turtel
Dr. Turtel

Bio

"In this age of digital information and impersonal social/business networking, one-on-one personal service is disappearing. At my office, I see each and every patient at each and every visit. I do not rely on nurse practitioners or physician assistants and take responsibility for 100% of patient care.

In addition, equally important to the treatment, each patient is educated about the problems for which they are seeking my advice. All too often in medicine, the physician makes the diagnosis and tells the patient what to do without including the patient in the educational and decision making process. Making sure that the patient fully comprehends the problem, as well as the rationale for the suggested course of action, increases the ability to communicate with the physician throughout the course of treatment, hence maximizing the likelihood of a successful outcome. I strive to be more than just a surgical technician, and would like to include the patient in the team approach to the care they receive."
