Andrew grew up in the Denver area and lived on the East Coast, West Coast and abroad before finally moving back home. He is an avid cyclist, tennis player and skier, and a fan of great coffee! And, he fluently speaks Spanish, something he owes to his Puerto Rican grandfather and his days in the Peace Corps in Bolivia.
As a nephrologist in Colorado, Dr. Brookens diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases and complications affecting your kidneys. These may include kidney stones, chronic kidney disease, renal failure, chronic urinary tract infections, and other disorders that affect the kidneys. When a patient's condition is serious enough to cause kidney failure, Dr. Brookens may be responsible for managing the dialysis process.
