Bio


Alon Seifan, MD, MS, is a founding board member of The Neuro Well FREE. Dr. Seifan completed medical school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and neurology residency training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He pursued fellowship training in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry at the Columbia University Medical Center Division of Aging & Dementia and after fellowship was recruited to the faculty of Weill Cornell Medicine, where he served as the Director of Research, Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic and helped to found one of the nation’s first Alzheimer’s prevention clinics. Most recently in his role as Director of Neurology at Compass Health Systems, a multi-state, family-based psychiatry practice, Dr. Seifan gained valuable experience treating the direct manifestations of psychiatric illness. Dr. Seifan maintains academic affiliations with several institutions in South Florida including Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Florida International University. He directs a productive research program seeking to further understand how neurodevelopmental diversity, such as that seen in people with dyslexia or ADHD, influences patterns of cognitive aging. He has published several peer reviewed articles in this and related fields.

Dr. Seifan’s passion and expertise in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry enables him to provide a more complete type of mental health care for neurological patients and their families. Dr. Seifan is one of three sibling co-founders of HoneyBrains, a café in the Manhattan neighborhood of NoHo, which serves delicious and healthy food, juices and jars of honey, with the mission of sharing valuable neuroscience knowledge and resources with local communities.

Dr. Seifan’s passion and expertise in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry enables him to provide a more complete type of mental health care for neurological patients and their families. Dr. Seifan is one of three sibling co-founders of HoneyBrains, a café in the Manhattan neighborhood of NoHo, which serves delicious and healthy food, juices and jars of honey, with the mission of sharing valuable neuroscience knowledge and resources with local communities.

Today, he continues his pioneering clinical care, research and education as Founder of The Neuro Well and The Neuro Well FREE non-profit.
