Ali R. Zaidi, MD is a clinical cardiologist at Consultants in Cardiology & Electrophysiology in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Patients in the Chicago region appreciate his focus on preventive cardiovascular care and his dedication to teaching them how to avoid heart problems through diet, exercise, and control of blood pressure and cholesterol. Dr. Zaidi specializes in consultative and diagnostic cardiology, as well as congestive heart failure and cardiac imaging.

Dr. Zaidi grew up in London, England, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cambridge. His training in internal medicine began at the University of Cambridge Hospital, then he pursued training in critical care medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London.

After relocating to the United States, Dr. Zaidi completed his fellowship training in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Throughout his training, he won numerous scholarships and teaching accolades.

When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Zaidi serves as the Medical Director for Cardiac Rehabilitation at High Tech Medical Park – Advocate Health Care, and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals. His free time is devoted to enjoying life with his wife and three children.
