The Difference Between Juvéderm® and Juvéderm Volbella®
JUVÉDERM® is a hugely popular collection of fillers by Allergan that are used throughout the world to rejuvenate and refresh the face. The range of products includes the well-known Juvederm and the recently released Juvederm Volbella…but what’s the difference between Juvederm and Juvederm Volbella?
Facial Aging
Changes in the face occur as a natural part of aging, but may also be due to other factors such as genetics and excess sun exposure. Typical signs of facial aging include wrinkles around the nose and mouth, and volume loss in the cheeks. This causes the cheeks to become flatter, and the skin in the midface to sag. JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA®
Juvederm Volbella is a temporary cosmetic filler that is FDA approved for lip augmentation, and can also be used to reduce lines around the mouth (perioral lines).
Juvederm Volbella has a high satisfaction rate, because in clinical studies carried out patients reported being very happy with their results up to 1 year after treatment. Volbella is the only dermal filler approved for lip augmentation that delivers such long lasting results.
Like Juvederm, Volbella is made using patented Vycross technology, which is a special technique of blending the hyaluronic acid. Vycross technology makes Volbella more efficient at lifting the skin, and increases the longevity of the results. It also makes Volbella smoother and more consistent, so that it can be easily injected.
Volbella produces results that look a lot more natural when compared to similar lip augmentation products.
