Bio

Dr. Will Gibbs is a talented board certified physician specializing in non-narcotic pain management and non-operative orthopedic rehabilitation.  He provides a variety of services including pain management injections, medical weight loss, hormone replacement, and cutting edge Stem Cell / PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections at the state of the art Midtown Manhattan location.  He also helps patients get off of narcotic medications by treating instead with Suboxone or Medical Marijuana after careful consultation.  He deals with athletes, trauma patients, and any patient that wants to make a positive change in their health.

After completing his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Gibbs interned at the New York Hospital of Queens and served his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC.  He received training in general in-patient and outpatient rehabilitative care, consultations, electro-diagnostic studies, cardiac rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, interventional pain management procedures and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Gibbs is certified by the both the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Pain Medicine.

He has been the Chief of Service of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, the Medical Director of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Medicine at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, served as the Director of Rehabilitation for Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, NY, and Medical Director for the Center for Rehabilitation in Flushing, New York.  He joins Maiden Lane Medical adding his wealth of knowledge and experience to an already amazing team.

Dr. Gibbs believes that most pain is manageable, and in some cases able to be eliminated, with careful and accurate assessment, diagnoses, and treatment. He encourages all of his patients to make healthy lifestyle choices to reduce stress, which often makes pain worse and can inhibit the way the body and mind manage pain naturally.

His passion for medicine stems from a deep rooted desire to ease patients pain and help them to live active and healthy lives. Dr. Gibbs also practices what he preaches. He is a former body builder and continues to live a healthy lifestyle with self-discipline, a healthy and balanced diet, and regular exercise.

In addition to hosting “Good Medicine with Dr. Will Gibbs”, Dr. Gibbs has been a guest lecturer at Mt. Sinai Medical School and has won several awards including the Man of Distinction Award from the National Association of Health Services Executives and inclusion in the 40 under Forty Achievement Award by the Network Journal magazine.  He volunteers on medical missions, especially in Haiti, where his parents immigrated from.
