Recommends Available On Time Friendly Professional Knowledgeable Understandable ReachableOn August 11, 2011 I collapsed with Sudden Cardiac Death and had a stroke. I was in a coma for 2 weeks. Dr Dao was on duty that night when I was life flighted into UTHSC hospital in San Antonio. He visited and talked to me every day when I was in the coma and he had never seen me before! When I woke up I could barely speak or make myself understood. Often what came out of my mouth wasn't what I meant to say. He really cared about me as a patient and a person. I am alive today because of the great care I received from Dr Dao when nationally 2% or less survive. Not recover. Just Survive. And I'm recovered. To look at or talk to me you can't tell that I ever collapsed at all. He always gave me the best care and I am truly grateful for my life. How does one thank a doctor for saving their life? Thank you so much Dr. Dao. I'm doing good. I hope to see you again one day. I give him the very best rating.

Dr. Dao is a Kentucky native, and trained at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He completed both is Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Dao serves as Director of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Program at Medical City Plano. He speaks English and Vietnamese.
