Bio
Dr. Tariq specializes in Interventional Pain-Spine and Physical Medicine/Rehabilitation. He earned his medical degree from J N Medical College-Aligarh; followed by post-graduation in General Surgery. Dr. Tariq worked as a General Surgeon from 2003 until his move to the United States in 2006. He completed his internship in General Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital; Baltimore and his residency in PM&R at prestigious Baylor College of Medicine.
He went on to complete his Interventional Pain and Spine fellowship at Pain and Spine Consultants of Nashville, TN, where he trained in non-invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in treating back and neck pain. He is also trained in Ultrasound guided musculoskeletal and joint injections.
Dr. Tariq’s area of interest is in the treatment of spinal disorders and chronic spine related pain management with the implantation of Spinal Cord Stimulation leads. Apart from interventional pain and spine procedures he also has interest in interventional procedures for spasticity like Intrathecal baclofen trial. Outside of work, he enjoys skydiving, flying planes, photography and traveling.
