Recommends Friendly Professional Knowledgeable Nice Office Helpful StaffI first starting seeing Scott Alpert in late 80 s after moving to Huntington. I found Dr Scott to be knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I went to see Scott for my right leg which had 2 compound fractures from DMV accident in 73. I started to having knee pain and saw him for yrs. before he decided to do a TKR in 99 which felt great and if not for a fem-pop bypass which had got infected I'd still have that replacement. After some IV treatments Dr Scott did a revision TKR and I thought I would be back walking and for 10 months I was. I moved down to Florida ten months later still doing physical therapy when the infection came back. Here in Florida the surgeons wanted to amputate bit being an A/K already I declined to let them amputate. After seeing several doctors here in Florida and getting the same opinion that I could loose the leg if the infection came back a third time which being in a wheelchair since 2010 I'd be willing to take the risk. I have an appointment with Dr Scott on Mar.7 and I am hoping and praying he will give me that one last shot to walk again. At 62 I miss playing golf so much which I probably will never play again anyway just would like to walk again and have some quality of life back. Dr Scott if you have a chance to read this please do everything in your power to give me that chance. Hopefully Bob and will see you in Mar. Thank you.
