Dr. Ganta did my gastric bypass and by anyone’s judgement it has been a success. I have lost approximately one third of my body weight (6 months) and am at the dietician’s ideal. At 67, according to many I look more than ten years younger. If the patient just follows his advice I believe you will achieve your expectations and possibly more. For me, the objective was not so much weight loss but to control diabetes and high blood pressure. According to several scientific studies this procedure can put diabetes into remission and it seems to be happening to me. I was a heavy insulin user (both Lantus and Novolog). Now down to about a fifth of my former Lantus use and no Novolog at all. Had I not had a change in internists I would already be on pills with a good prospect of not having to use them either. I do not take HBP medication anymore and have quit using my Bipap. I have more energy than I could have imagined. I have had one hip replacement, six knee replacements and one urological procedure and in comparison, to my other surgeons Dr Ganta is unique; surgeon, scientifically oriented and an artist at his technique.
