I first met Dr. Wood when I was at the dungeon at Scripps Hospital in Encinitas. I was literally on death's door when Dr. Wood found out I was in the wrong dept, that I should've been in ICU because of all the blood I lost and the pneumonia I had. She instantly took charge of me, ordered all the necessary blood tests, CT scan, blood transfusions and antibiotics I needed to start my recovery. I call her my Guardian Angel because if it weren't for her quick actions I might not have lived to tell about it. Thank you Dr. Wood for caring enough for me, a stranger, that you did not leave my side until you knew I was in cable hands. Sincerely, Virginia Garcia
