Dr. Reuben Walia is board certified and fellowship trained in Sleep Medicine. He is also board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Walia arrived at Overlake Sleep Disorder Centers in April 2018 and looks forward to accepting new patients.
He completed his residency and fellowship training at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City where he was born and raised.
Along with treating patients, Dr. Walia has an interest in medical research and has taken part in numerous research projects. He has published articles in the field of sleep medicine, one of which won the award for “Excellence in Medical Writing” from the Journal Editorial Board of the Oklahoma State Medical Association. The article was published in their December 2014 issue: “Are At-home Sleep Studies Performed Using Portable Monitors as effective at Diagnosing Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Adults as Sleep Laboratory-based Polysomnography?”
Additionally, Dr. Walia was selected for the 2016 “Top Doctors” edition of the Seattle Met Magazine, which highlights the best healthcare practitioners in the Seattle area.
When not in the office, Dr. Walia enjoys the outdoors, being very active and traveling. His favorite activities include running in the Seattle sun, snowboarding, hiking, and playing multiple sports.
