Dr. Ilbeigi is a talented surgeon. Having said that, I would like to address his interaction with me regarding prostate cancer metastasis. His lack of empathy was obvious. He told me that I should feel fortunate that my treatment would not be as brutal as some people for cancer. (I'm not sure how he knows what I will have to undergo in the future). Maybe Dr. I's ego and personal views need to be left at the door of the exam room and he could at least pretend to understand that is quite a psychological blow to learn that the major surgery he performed (with a supposed 95% success rate) was not a cure as implied.
