Bio


Dr. Pankaj Singhal currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pathology and Anatomical Sciences at School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo. Additionally, Dr. Singhal is the Program Director for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery program- a joint fellowship between the University at Buffalo and Kaleida Health System. He is also the Chairman of Robotic Surgical Services at Kaleida Health System.

 

Dr. Singhal is Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Gynecologic Oncology. He is on medical staff at Kaleida and Catholic Health System since 2010.

 

Dr. Singhal is a true pioneer in computer-integrated surgery where under his leadership; the robotic surgery program in Western NY has grown to become one of the best in the country. He is also a scholar who has published numerous studies. Dr. Singhal is well recognized through out the United States for his robot-assisted surgery for cancer of uterus and cervix cancer. He is also best know for most successful & best surgical outcomes for radical resection of ovarian cancer and administration of intraperitoneal chemotherapy as well.

 

Dr. Singhal graduated from medical school at Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. He also completed internship in General surgery at Wright State University in Dayton Ohio. He also completed a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Thereafter, he completed residency training in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health from New Jersey Medical School. He then embarked on research fellowship in ovarian cancer vaccine and clinical fellowship Gynecologic Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

 

He previously held positions as Chief, Division of Gynecologic Oncology and the Division of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at University at Buffalo’s School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

 

In his Current role as Co-Director of the Computer-Integrated Research Laboratory at the University at Buffalo and Program Director for the Fellowship Program, he helps continue the strong partnership between the University at Buffalo, Kaleida and Catholic Health.

 

Constantly looking to learn and develop, Dr. Singhal is currently enrolled at Harvard University’s Master’s program in Health Care Management. At Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Signal’s work is focused on improving women’s health, decreasing the rising cost of health care and eliminating the disparities in health care delivery among minorities.
