Dr Vangala is a Hospitalist at Dignity Health in Merced CA. She has terrible beside manner, does not explain nor discuss the "why" with patients. She mixed up information for my husband, she prescribed medication without consulting with the Doctor that was doing the procedure or bring able to tell me why she was prescribing the meds, and then she discontinued his medication without talking to us or letting us know why. When I had the 3 minute opportunity to speak to her, and asked questions, all she would day is that it's procedure. By this point, I was not the most respectful person she may have had to deal with, that day. When I asked her how much longer, for the other doctor to do the procedure, she told me I had to ask the nurse and left. She does not make it a point to care to answer patient questions, and when I asked the nurse why the doctor was doing what she was doing, she had not been told why either. She may be a doctor, but if you see her, you will need to advocate and educate yourself.
