Dr. Gregory Vassilev a board-certified anesthesiologist and an interventional pain management specialist licensed in California and Colorado. His focus has been pain management and regional anesthesia since 2001. In particular, his area of expertise is the management of complex painful sports injuries, chronic back pain, joint rejuvenation and addiction medicine.He earned his Medical Doctorate at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed the prestigious Surgical Internship and Anesthesiology Residency at the Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center.
Throughout his life and training, he has studied Tibetan and Japanese Medical Arts, receiving empowerments and teachings from some of the most accomplished philosophers, teachers, and scholars of our time. In addition, his lifelong passion for martial arts, extreme sports like: windsurfing, kite surfing, surfing, snowboarding and car racing has made me a favorite doctor for professional athletes from around the world. They come and see Dr. Vassilev because of his years of experience and deep understanding of their special needs.
Professionally, Dr. Vassilev is on the fore-front of regenerative interventional pain medicine. He has been using PRP, BMAC and Adipose Stem Cell therapies to rebuild injured tendons and joints since 2006.He is an active member of the California Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Pain Society, American Society of Anesthesiologists, and American Medical Association.
Dr. Vassilev fluently speaks English, German, Bulgarian, and Russian, and I has some basic understanding of Italian, Japanese, and Tibetan. Dr. Vassilev also offers, to a select few patients, Suboxone for opiod addiction disorders
