Emmet W. Lee, MD is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician specializing in Geriatric Care. As a Geriatrician, he serves as a Primary Care Physician for older adults with complex medical needs related to aging.

Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School, Houston in 1988. He subsequently served his internship and completed his Internal Medicine residency at various University of Texas-affiliated hospitals in 1992. From 1991-1992 he served as Chief Medical Resident and Clinical Instructor of Medicine.

Dr. Lee is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He specializes in geriatric medicine, with a focus on preventive healthcare. In the event a patient becomes ill he will consult with the appropriate specialists then, together with the patient, weigh the risks and benefits and determine the best course of treatment. His goal is to provide the continuity of care that includes outpatient care, nursing home care, and, if needed, palliative and hospice care.

Dr. Lee also serves as the medical director at LifeCare Center of Escondido, subacute medical director at Escondido Post Acute Rehab, Chief Medical Officer of LightBridge Hospice and LightBridge Medical Associates, medical director at Meadowbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and medical director at Vista del Lago Memory Care Unit. He is affiliated with the American Medical Directors Association, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the American College of Physicians.
