Get a second opinion. I did not. I had the robotic surgery for prostrate cancer three years ago and have never been the same since. After the surgery he did a scope, the scope would not go into my bladder but he continued to try and force it in until there was obvious blood from trying to force the scope in. I'll never forget the look on the Nurse's face as he was doing this. When he finally gave up trying the Nurse said to me, "your a tuff guy". That night I could not go to the bathroom at all. I ended up in the emergency room in incredible pain because my bladder was filling up and not a drop was coming out. I had a catheter in for 10 days after that. Then I had surgery to remove scar tissue, after the surgery he told me he found a surgical clip stuck in my urethra. A couple of weeks after he decided to do another scope but he forgot to turn the saline on and put it in dry. The next day it felt like razor blades when I went to the bathroom. That is when I decided to go to another Doctor. Three years and I'm still dealing with the effects.
