David A. Wilson, MD, of Arizona Neurosurgery & Spine Specialists, located in Phoenix, Peoria, and Mesa, Arizona, began his career with undergraduate degrees in biochemistry through the University of Pennsylvania, and Economics at the Wharton School of Finance at the same school. Dr. Wilson graduated both degrees Magna Cum Laude before earning his medical degree through Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his Neurosurgery Residency at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Wilson has also completed a Fellowship in Endoscopic and Skull Base Neurosurgery at the Centre for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, Australia. His work has an international scope, as Dr. Wilson participates in neurosurgical missions worldwide. He has previously visited Hanoi, Vietnam and Mwanza, Tanzania in this capacity. Through his education and experience, Dr. Wilson developed special interests in complex spine, neurotrauma, endoscopic, and skull-based neurosurgery.
